Janna Coumoundouros is a Detroit based real estate photographer, artist, stylist, and jewelry designer. Her photography specialty is real estate and she has been shooting metro Detroit homes for over 22 years. Her photographs have been on Italian Vogue, Detroit Design Magazine, Essere Magazine and more. Her jewelry and fashion has been on Dateline, USA Today, Associated Press, WDIV, WXYZ, Fox 2, H

our Detroit Magazine, and NAIAS Charity Preview and is sold in metro Detroit stores. Her design inspiration arises from a desire to discover the unusual beauty in discarded places and objects, such as vintage machine and car parts, which she disassembles, repurposes, and combines with her own metal work to create her one-of-a kind pieces. Janna's fashion designs are comprised of TPO automotive interior material used in car panels and sunroof panels made by Inteva Products and have won first prize honors at the Detroit Auto Show, the DIA, and the University of Michigan Alumni Show. Her work has been on display at the Detroit Institute of Art, the Flint Institute of Arts, Detroit Historical Museum and local galleries.

I sat and waited for a very long time to get these shots. I knew the hummingbirds liked this tree so I sat with my camera clutched and ready for over an hour in the Costa Rican heat. One of them swooped and hovered right in front of my face but I was so shocked I didn’t capture it. But then it hovered near the bush and I finally got it. Did some pretty cool aerials too.
The perfect end to our beautiful anniversary trip!
