After their quiet, intimate ceremony, we stepped outside on the beautiful courthouse terrace and just let them be—soaking it all in, laughing, holding onto those just married moments.

There's something about elopements that just make me swoon🤍

This sweet, quiet courthouse elopement in Downtown Little Rock… just her closest family there, and her Papa officiating—it was simple, intimate, and so full of love. He did such a beautiful job.

As anyone who knows me well understands, I am a hopeless romantic at heart… and days like these just fill my heart with so much joy.

After 11 years of marriage—and having eloped ourselves—I still find myself absolutely head over heels for my own prince charming.
Our stories overlap in some ways, and I know a little of the road ahead for them. The highs, the challenges, and all the in-between moments that shape a marriage.

I pray they always lean on each other, find strength and guidance in the Lord, and never lose sight of what brought them here.

There’s something about a red dress and a quiet moment in the middle of a busy city…
Downtown Hot Springs was buzzing, but you’d never know it—
we found our own little world tucked between the chaos, where time stood still… if only for a moment.

I’ve had the honor of photographing him for years now, and getting to see these moments unfold—this chapter, this season—it never gets old.
And knowing I’ll be there again for senior photos and family sessions later this year… that kind of trust means everything.

The newborn days can feel like a blur.

There are outfit changes, unexpected messes, sleepy snuggles, and moments where everyone just laughs because life with a newborn rarely goes according to plan.

But when you pause and look closer, those ordinary moments are actually the beginning of something much bigger — the start of your family’s story unfolding.

Photography has always been more than simply taking pictures. These images become the pieces of your life that live on your walls, fill your albums, and eventually find their way into the hands of your children and their children after them.

They become the quiet reminders of who you were, how you loved, and what life looked like in these fleeting seasons.

That’s why I believe photography is art.
Not because of the camera, but because of the perspective behind it — the composition, the light, the small details that turn everyday moments into something meaningful enough to keep.

These aren’t just snapshots.
They’re the beginning of a legacy.

And getting to document families like this as their story grows is one of the greatest honors of my work.

The newborn days are rarely calm or perfectly put together.

There are outfit changes, unexpected messes, and moments where everyone just laughs because nothing is going quite according to plan.

And honestly… that’s part of the beauty of it.

This sweet family welcomed their newest little love at home, and the evening unfolded exactly the way life with a newborn usually does — a little chaotic, a little messy, and full of moments that are easy to overlook while you’re living them.

But when you pause and look closer, those small moments become something much bigger.

The way tiny fingers wrap around a parent’s hand.
The quiet way a sibling leans in to give a kiss.
The peaceful stillness of a sleeping baby in their mother’s arms.

Photography has always been more than just taking pictures. These images become the pieces of life that end up on the walls of your home and in the pages of albums your children will flip through years from now.

They become the way future generations see who you were.

The photographs you choose to preserve today slowly become your family’s visual history — little windows into a life that was deeply loved and beautifully lived.

That’s why photography will always feel like art to me.

There is something incredibly special about gathering generations together — especially during the holidays. 🤍

This sweet family included grandparents, siblings, and a little family visiting all the way from California to celebrate the season together. Their little girl was full of curiosity and wonder, ready to explore every corner and find her independence, very eager to open presents… and mildly disappointed to learn they were just for looks 😉 Thankfully the felt Christmas cookies (and a few marshmallows) helped smooth things over.

We photographed this session at The Pines in Conway, with plans for cozy hot cocoa in the barn — but Arkansas surprised us with sunshine and 70 degrees. The wind, however, had other plans. It sent hair flying, gift boxes sliding, and laughter rolling. Honestly, I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Generational sessions like these are so near and dear to my heart. They tell a bigger story—one that will be cherished long after the holidays have passed. These are the images that grow in meaning over time — the ones passed down, looked back on, and cherished more with each passing year.

I hope you all had the most wonderful Christmas and a safe trip back home. Thank you for trusting me to help preserve such a meaningful chapter of your story. 🤍
