I caught the USS Cleveland navigating through the St Lawrence River near Alexandria Bay on Friday May 22, 2026. Newly commissioned and head home to Jacksonville. The photos are zoomed and cropped and also kept distance backing off when the guns turned towards the drone. (Just kidding) I was actually expecting it to drop like a rock at some point.
As of mid-May 2026, the newly commissioned USS Cleveland (LCS-31) is traveling from Cleveland, Ohio, toward its homeport at Naval Station Mayport in Jacksonville, Florida. Following its commissioning ceremony on May 16, 2026, the ship is navigating through the Great Lakes, the St. Lawrence Seaway, and down the Atlantic coast to begin its operational service.
