🚨 𝗔 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗜’𝗺 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.
Effective immediately, I will no longer post identifiable images of children on my photography page - even when a signed release has been provided. I’ll also be going back through my page and removing identifiable images of children that I’ve previously shared.
A recent federal appeals court decision involving AI-generated images of children was a pretty stark reminder of how quickly technology is moving, and how far behind our laws can be when it comes to protecting children from what that technology can do.
For me, that’s enough.
I don’t want to be part of the problem, even unintentionally. And while I know this will affect how I’m able to celebrate your stories and showcase my work, I’m okay with that.
The families who trust me with their images matter more to me than having another photo to post.
So this is the line I’m drawing for Krystle Bowden Photography.
I’m always going to do my best to leave things a little better than I found them, and protecting the people who trust me with their memories will always come before my business. 🖤
