Not just the other half of Volo, he is the heart behind the imagery. What started as a new business venture, the stories behind the lens quickly became a defining legacy for artistry photographer and entrepreneur, Ben Galland. With two decades of marketing experience, he has taken the good, the bad and the ugly and turned it into an opportunity to redefine collaboration and partnership. Born and raised on St. Simons Island, the love and admiration for the Georgia Coast revealed a muse waiting to be documented. With his five published books with the UGA Press on the Georgia Coast and his art series, "Georgia Has a Coast", Ben paved the way for artists from all over the world to discover, experience and capture the one hundred coastal miles of Georgia. Realizing the power behind curated imagery, Ben has his sights on bringing awareness to conservation, Georgia tourism, traveling beyond any border - and of course, food.
"As an artist, we are called to portray. I believe it starts with authenticity. The scene, the emotion, making the photograph. The process has to be authentic, now more than ever. Too many folks it's sell, sell, sell… just to drown themselves in a message they cannot stand behind. Truth always soars, and so does the genuine creation of an artistic portrayal. In a world drowning in delusion, I believe this is what people really crave- authenticity.”
