While you share this day with your family and friends please do not forget about those in Gaza who have not had access to water this month, those in Bangladesh who died while praying Eid salah/namaaz, those in Baghdad who are currently burying their loved ones, those in Medina who thought they would be safe near Prophet Mohammed, those in Turkey who came to explore the intricacies of Islamic history and diversity, those in Greece currently seeking refuge from ISIS. Please do not forget.

It's been so great to see these signs outside so many churches in Minneapolis, especially in the wake of the heartbreak in Orlando and now in Turkey. We must continue to remain strong and united; combat the phobias and prejudices. There is no room in ANY religion for hate and violence.
