So let’s talk about AI…
As a photographer, I want my images to be as authentic as possible.
And if I’m being honest, scrolling social media lately has been hard. Everywhere I look, it feels like reality is disappearing. Faces are altered. Bodies are reshaped. Entire images are created that never actually existed. Sometimes it’s becoming difficult to tell what’s real and what’s not.
Don’t get me wrong—I think AI is an incredible tool. I use it in my business, and honestly, it’s phenomenal when used responsibly. It can save time, spark creativity, help with marketing, and yes… I love creating the occasional fun graphic with it.
But for me, there is a line.
When it comes to the moments I capture for my clients, I want them to be real. Real smiles. Real connections. Real babies. Real families. Real memories.
Because twenty years from now, I don’t want my clients looking back at an AI version of their lives. I want them looking back at their actual lives.
In a world that seems increasingly obsessed with perfection, I believe authenticity is becoming a lost art.
So I’ll continue to embrace technology as a tool—but I’ll never let it replace reality.
Give me the genuine laugh.
The imperfect moment.
The authentic connection.
Because at the end of the day, real will always matter more than perfect.
And yes… I’ll still throw in the occasional cute AI generated graphic!
