I’ve spent the last few weeks competing in events with deep meaning. I started August off with the Pan Mass Challenge, and once again did Swim Across American Boston this morning. I love pushing myself but it’s truly amazing to complete these events for a cause so much larger than myself. These two were for all who can’t.

Had a great time in Lake Placid over this past weekend. Felt great to spend some time on the course and in the area. Also taking the maiden voyage of camping out of the van with cm . Another big shoutout to Timur Cout and Ryan Warner for some great work and better times. Weekends like this remind me why I love this sport.

Ironman 70.3 Happy Valley: The Swim

We got to transition super early (weird experience to have to drive 30 minutes, but didn’t hate it). Stomach was feeling very off leading up to the race but luckily all problems went away once I lined up. Left in the 5th or 6th group which is later than I ever have.

Swim went about as expected for a non wetsuit lake swim. But for once I held off from full-sending the swim. And all things considered I’m excited with how this one went. Came out of the water feeling strong and ready to ride.
