A farewell letter to the wedding industry and simultaneously a love letter to myself:
Seven years ago I dreamt of all the things I’ve done and accomplished- start a filmmaking business->go full time->have it take me across the globe and up + down it->put my whole soul into it. Most importantly, aim to leave people and their memories better than I found them. I can recount every big day, hug, tear, laugh, win, fail, meet up, call, text, champagne pop, hike, car ride, plane ride and interaction with all my couples and clients that I’ve served since 2015. I know the temperature it was during their ceremony, I can recount all the father and bride first looks and I can feel each dance floor’s quake as We Found Love by Rihanna starts to play. I don’t take this job lightly nor do I take the fact that 2022 is my last year of it all either. As I focus my sights on new business ventures, DIYing a home and being Andy’s mama- I take with me the most rewarding, best, hardest, special experience of being trusted all these years to preserve timeless memories. Moments of people’s history in the making that in the end has left me better than they all found me, and for that I’m grateful. ❤️
