I know people have options when it comes to photographers, and I know it can feel a little weird trusting someone you've never met with your photos.

Then I show up with pink or purple hair, probably talking too much, and asking your kid if they're ready to throw confetti everywhere. 😂

But that's kind of the point. I want you to know who you're getting when you book me. I've never tried to be anything other than myself, and I want people to feel like they can do the same when they're in front of my camera.

These are exactly the kind of sessions I LOVE. We start simple and get those sweet personality photos, then we bring out the balloons, the confetti and whatever else we can come up with and let them have fun.

Also, in case you didn't know, YES, I have a studio. And apparently I've decided its purpose is partly to see how big of a mess we can make. 😂

Birthdays, milestones, personality sessions, or just because this version of them deserves to be remembered.

Bring me your ideas. Weird ones included.

I'll happily buy more confetti.

Okay, I KNOW I’ve asked this before, but I need an updated list. 😂

What are we watching right now?!

I go through shows at an absolutely ridiculous rate because when I’m sitting here editing for hours and hours, I always have something playing in the background. And apparently I have worked my way through half the internet at this point.

So I need NEW recommendations.

What have you watched this summer that was actually good? New shows, older shows you just discovered, movies, documentaries, weird little series nobody talks about...give me ALL of it.

I’m pretty open when it comes to genres, so don’t overthink it.

And if there’s something sitting on your watch list that everyone keeps telling you to watch, drop that too. Maybe we can all steal recommendations from each other. 😂

Bonus points if it’s bingeable because I have galleries to edit and apparently require emotional support television while doing it.

Another gallery DELIVERED. 🤍

I know I’ve mentioned how wild the last month has been for our family, but honestly, the last WEEK alone?!

At this point I’m looking at the universe like, okay... can we cool it with some of this dilly dally, mmmmkay?

But over here, photos are still getting edited, admin things are getting sent, sessions are happening, and most importantly, galleries are getting delivered. Another one down!

I’ve been cranking them out and playing a little catch-up, and I seriously appreciate all the grace everyone has given me. I know I’m not way behind, but I also know I’m normally pretty dang quick. Behind ninefifteenphoto is still a human with a family, and lately our family has been getting a LOT thrown at us.

Meanwhile, you guys keep showing up. My books are filling up quickly, and I already have sessions booked into November!

I’m so excited about the people I get to photograph and all the fun, creative stuff coming up.

Every booking, referral, share, and recommendation means more than you know.

Thank you for the grace. Thank you for supporting me. And thank you for letting me do something I freaking love.

Now, Universe... respectfully, chill. 😂

Well... tonight did NOT go according to plan. 😂

I had a photo session in Radcliff this evening, and after finishing at our first location, we were headed to our second spot to get some gorgeous wildflower photos at sunset.

I made a quick stop at my studio to use the bathroom.

And that's where our evening took a turn.

Backstory: my key fob has been acting absolutely ridiculous for the last few weeks. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes I practically have to hold it against the dashboard before my car realizes it exists. We've replaced the battery, but clearly something else is going on.

When I'm photographing, I always unhook my key fob from my keychain and hook it onto myself. When I'm done, I am RELIGIOUS about putting it back on my keychain.

Except, for some reason, tonight I didn't.

I grabbed my keychain, went inside the studio, came back out...

Car locked.

Key fob inside.

Camera inside.

And apparently the key fob decided that exact moment was the perfect time to take one of its little breaks from working because my car normally will NOT lock when it senses the fob inside.

So instead of wildflowers and a sunset, we got a tow truck. 😂

We had to put a pin in the rest of our session and we'll finish those photos another day.

Huge shoutout to Wright's Towing for coming out this evening and getting me back into my car, and an even bigger thank you to Ana for hanging out with me while we waited and being SO understanding.

Although, to be fair, I think her kiddo may have manifested the entire thing.

She was CONVINCED we were not doing wildflowers tonight.

And I was like, "Homegirl... we ARE."

The universe apparently heard me and said:

"Hey, homegirl. You ain't." 😂

Message received.

But honestly, tonight was another reminder of why I try really hard to give people grace.

Things happen. People run late. Kids have hard days. Technology fails. Plans change. Sometimes you can have everything planned perfectly and one tiny thing completely derails it.

You never really know what someone else has going on behind the scenes.

Lord knows life has been LIFE-ING pretty hard around here lately, so I'll keep choosing grace when I can and hoping people give me a little when I need it too.

And tomorrow?

Nissan Dealership Trip.

Because this key fob and I have officially reached the "we need professional help" stage of our relationship. 😂
