What a blessing it is to have a job that I genuinely love. 🀍

Sometimes I have to stop and remind myself that this is actually my life. I get to wake up, pick up my camera, chase pretty light, find beauty in the smallest details, and create something that someone can look back on years from now and still feel something.

Photography has given me so much more than I ever expected. It has taught me to slow down, to notice the little things, to appreciate the fleeting moments, and to see beauty in places I might have otherwise overlooked.

A sunset, a field of flowers, a quiet moment, a happy memory. There is always something worth capturing.
And honestly, I do not think I will ever stop being grateful for that.

I get to create for a living. I get to meet incredible people. I get to document seasons of life that only happen once. I get to turn moments into memories and memories into photos that feel like home. Like? How amazing is that?

What a gift it is to do something that makes me excited to pick up my camera. To have a job that allows me to be creative, to explore, to connect, and to constantly look for beauty.
So yeah, I seriously love my job. πŸ₯ΉπŸ“Έ

I hope I never become so used to it that I forget just how lucky I am to call this work.

Forever grateful that I get to do this. 🀍

Dolly Parton’s song has such a beautiful way of putting life into perspective. It makes me think about family and how every season, every personality, and every little moment adds another color to our story.

That’s one of my favorite things about family photography. It doesn’t have to be perfect or posed. It’s about capturing your family as you are right now, so you can look back on this chapter years from now.

Let’s lose the pressure of the β€œperfect” family photo. πŸ€«πŸ‘‡

So often, parents arrive at a session stressed about whether their kids will sit still, look at the camera, and smile on command. But if I can let you in on a little secret? The magic doesn’t happen when everyone is perfectly posed. The magic happens in the warm, messy, unscripted in-between.

It’s the crinkled noses, the belly laughs because you booped them with a sunflower, the sudden hugs, and even the chaotic run-arounds. When you let your babies just be babies, that is when i capture the photos that feel like home.

Years from now, you won’t look back at a stiff, forced portrait and feel the true warmth of this season. You’ll look at the candid, beautiful moments where their little personalities completely shine through. Those are the ones that become your absolute favorites. I pinky promise 🫢🏻

So take a deep breath, leave the worrying to me, and just enjoy loving on your beautiful family. The sunshine is already there.
