The mountain frost.

Upon steps of stone and rubble,
My feet guide through the maze
Each movement careful and still.
Certainty plays as a curse in time,
Move slow time burnt,
Move swiftly moments unspent.
Upon 13,000 feet I wonder
How so few can move in this mountain current.
The world sitting beneath thousands of feet,
Then Upon the peak a shadow is casted
A breath is stolen from the chilled air,
Clouds crack over head,
All while under the ceiling of sky
Peer down to the past looking up at you,
Conquered this mountain becomes,
Free to those who only dare to step.

A wonderer, a travler, a soul bent to see.
