Day 1 of Art in the Park in Steamboat Springs started great. Lots of great sales and great compliments. Then it rained really hard. Then, after some sweet sunshine, it thunderstormed here with a once-every-two-year intensity and it was all we could do to keep the tent and any vital possessions from blowing away. We survived, as did 99 percent of our products, and we're going to be ready for a great Day 2 tomorrow. Come on down and we'll tell you some storm stories!

Good thing I keep this updated so well. Wish I could, but been too busy getting ready for another Art in the Park, July 13-14 in Steamboat! I'll have some of my most popular stuff from recent years there, but am excited to show off just as many new things as well. There's a good chance this cowboy makes an appearance...

Today is my fourth craft and art show, and today is going to be a good day. I had serious suspicions whether or not this stuff would work 18 months ago when I started it, but it has been and ever since it’s been one of the most gratifying, rewarding things in my life. Part of that is because I’ve invested so much of myself into what I make and it’s hugely rewarding to see my ideas, my creativity, successful. At the same time, it’s been a very humbling experience because there’s no way I’d have accomplished anything without the constant support of friends, family and my girlfriend, Jacki. They’ve all been there to help me get my photographs, to help me pick the right photos (an endless process, as they’re well aware) and to help me at every show I’ve done. So, thanks to my parents, my brother, my girlfriend and my friends for making today a great day.
