A single aerial drone photo taken at 400 feet gives you a beautiful, high-resolution snapshot — but even from that height, the camera can only capture a limited portion of a large field at once. You’d need dozens (or hundreds) of separate shots to even come close to covering everything.
That’s where photogrammetry comes in.
By flying the drone at the same legal 400-foot altitude and taking hundreds of overlapping photos, we stitch them together into one seamless, accurate orthophoto of the entire field. The result is a distortion-free, true-to-scale map you can zoom into, measure, and analyze — without losing detail or accuracy.
✅ Single photo = quick visual of a small section
✅ Orthophoto = complete, professional view of the whole field
Both flown safely and legally under FAA rules (400 feet or lower).
Need the full picture of your field? Photogrammetry delivers it.
Below is a single photo at 400 feet and a processed Orthophoto at 400 feet. This particular Orthophoto is comprised of 772 photos. Why does the orthophoto look softer here on Facebook?
Because it’s a massive high-resolution file. Facebook automatically resizes and heavily compresses it to make loading fast, which reduces the fine detail and clarity you’re seeing right now.
In reality, the orthophoto has far more resolution and accuracy. We can deliver the full-resolution version via email, Google Drive or other various ways.
