💎 two days. bigger love.

about a weeks ago I witnessed a thing. I received so many beautiful reminders of what being in community with women can look like.

behind my lens, I had the chance to witness the duality of care in our community in such a powerful way at annual Estrogina celebration alongside + . BIG SHOUT OUT to + for centering woman, again + again in their work.

big love as well to fellow photographer for the good vibes + dope flow over these two days. I truly love working with amazing creatives.

some highlights had to be visually archiving between The Cut + with the Minnies on Day I. facilitated a soft, grounding space where creativity + healing met through the sweet creative arts offerings by .co + . A space where young women could exhale, create + simply be.

stepping into The Cut, the energy shifted in the best way, women showing up for their health + wellness in full force. big love to .nathalie.alexis + for the amazing movement practices alongside one of my faves on the 1’s + 2’s

+ then Day II… when the diamonds came out.

such sweet vibes from the realest conversation led by with my fellow island girl that felt so deeply honest, grounding + needed. plus the live music stylings from + filled the room with so much soul.

one of my favorite parts? getting to witness some of my girls receive their flowers. congrats .nisha_ +

moments like these remind me why I do this work, documenting the ways we gather, heal, celebrate + hold one another.

grateful to have been behind the lens for it all.

there’s something really grounding about photographing your friends.

no pressure. no performance.
just real moments, familiar faces + the ease that comes from knowing each other.

i love getting to hold the camera while they just show up as themselves, laughing, serious, tired, bold, in-between.
just presence.

grateful for friends who trust me with their portrait’s + for the chance to document who we are, right now, as we are.

the sacredness of self-love. a portrait series that take a deeper look and your inner storyteller. portraiture is more than a photograph, it’s a witnessing. a reclamation. a love letter to who you are right now.

to my creative peeps and/or creative adjacent peeps, when’s the last time you realized a concept that had lived rent-free in your head?

early last year, as I prepared for my first exhibit “In Ernest” with at I got the opportunity to collaborate with to create these vintage feel stills that took me back to any of the lyrics by Dennis Brown, Chronicle, Ken Boothe, Phillis Dillon + the never ending list of early Reggae giants… stylized by the amazing , really took us there with this layered compilation as it almost immediately teleported us back to our roots…

here’s to more of this…

these photographs were made in a season of becoming,
between treatments, between breaths, between what was known + what was still unfolding.

pictured here my dear friend .marisol.norris sits on the steps of her kitchen, a place of daily rituals + quiet return
the black + white stills hold her softly, as living archive.

her smile is not a performance of strength.
it is rest.
it is presence.
it is a body choosing ease, even while carrying so much.

this series asks us to slow down + notice what tenderness looks like in real time. to honor the beauty that exists alongside uncertainty. to witness survival not as spectacle,
but as intimacy

over the years, through my works with ,
i have seen images become more than portraits, they are offerings. a reminder that our stories deserve to be held with care, that our bodies are worthy of being seen
in moments of softness,
in moments of pause,
in moments of becoming.

i invite you to sit with her.
to breathe with her.
to remember that healing is not linear + that beauty does not wait for permission.

how often do we celebrate our journey + the roots that support our walk through this life… more so as creatives, movers, humans, how do we honor our own vessels...

i have been revisiting archival work over the past through the notions of my own origin stories, namely as a creative + have been reminded of the mover within me that i am forever anchored too… though our relationship has shifted over the decades, we are still connected…

this exploration brought me to revisit my own creative photography archives + lift up so many collaborations + series. i had the honor to collaborate with + back in 2020 for these dance portraits, the telling of one’s story through the body… thank you both…

wha stories do you live to tell…

if you know me, you know that I am usually veryyyyy comfortably placed behind the camera, always in awe of the moments I get to capture + visually archive…

wellllll 2026 had already humbled me lol! had to take it back to the beautiful ‘s “living archive” exhibition hosted by at the Embrace Honors MLK event a few weeks ago. my series “My God Is A Black Woman” was featured alongside the works of some truly amazing Boston-based artists which made this even sweeter.

JOY IS OUR LIBERATION…

THIS MOMENT FOR JOY | NATAL CONVERSATIONS

Earlier this October, we gathered
held by breath, memory, and lineage.
became a circle of ,
a space where stories landed softly
+ joy was something we built together.

In the presence of our ancestors, we moved.
In community, we spoke truth.
Artifacts were held.
Heirlooms were honored.
Joy was reclaimed.

This was our remembering.
Our becoming.
A return to ourselves, through one another.

As the closed later that month,
this gathering remained with us
a reminder that you were held,
+ that joy is a practice we return to again + again.

It was an honor to witness our community arrive
with openness and grace at
This Moment for Joy | Natal Conversations,
led by Stefanie Belnavis ( ) + Alison Croney Moses ()
Together we grounded in breath, movement, kinship,
+ the stories carried in our bodies + lineages.

Gratitude to our community partners:
