To answer that musical question, no I haven’t been to Wales. But the Bug Club traveled over to hit Boston for the second time in a few months, impressively selling out Deep Cuts on a Tuesday. Excellent support by Columbus OH’s Golomb, check them out too if you don’t know about them.

The infectious energy and joy of the Deal twins always brings extra zest to their shows. Their Beatles cover is well known but I love that they’ve successfully brought Ed’s Redeeming Qualities to the masses too (Check out “Lawn Dart”). Bonus points for Jim’s excellent choice in t shirts. Great show all around.

How good was that GANG OF FOUR set? Not sure that some of the fans who were there for Mermaid Avenue initially knew what to make of them but they definitely won over the crowd. Covered for The Big Takeover
