Seeing things my way

I, like all photographers, have my own vision about life and all its permutations. Most feel that photography is the art of capturing reality, and presenting a person or a thing so that it looks like it does naturally. I see color (not tint) as the most eye-catching aspect of my art and I enhance it as much as possible without approaching the surreal. Another artist might think my interpretation is quite beyond that which can be considered natural. That’s okay. My art is mine...to behold and to present. I present my art as I see it in my mind’s eye. I may shoot a bird in flight against a blue sky. The bird may look quite natural in the finished product, but because I envisioned that bird against a radiant blue sky, that sky might be so blue in the image I publish it may cause the viewer to squint against it’s hue. When I shoot, I see greens and blues and reds, etc., not just things. If what I see has a name, to my way of thinking, that name would be colorful. Oh, yes, black and white are colors too...especially at night or on an overcast day. There is a rainbow in my eye...
