I would like to introduce Al tha Gator.
Long before drones buzzed over forests and fields, there was an old alligator who knew every inch of the North Louisiana bayou.
His name was Al.
Born DEEP in Red Chute Bayou, Al spent decades exploring places few people had ever seen. He has been all the way from from north of Bodcau WMA, down through Flat River, and even out on the Red River. He knew where the trophy bucks crossed the creeks, where ducks landed at sunrise, where fishermen always found the biggest bass, and which trails disappeared after every flood.
The locals joked that if you wanted to find something in the bayou…
“Ask Al.”
One day, while relaxing on a log, Al spotted something strange flying overhead.
It wasn’t a big skeeter.
It wasn’t a duck.
It wasn’t a crow.
It was a drone.
Curious as ever, Al followed the pilot down the bayou, just out of sight, and realized something incredible…
That little flying machine could see WAY more than just what’s between the banks of his bayou!
Al saw an opportunity to get up out of the bayous and little rivers he has called home and really help folks all over North Louisiana find what they were huntin for!
So he spent the time to learn the FAA rules and regulations, got FAA Certified as a Part 107 “Remote Pilot”, acquired a few drones, taught himself everything he could about thermal deer recovery, property deer census, lost pet recovery, loose livestock recovery, and aerial photography/videography.
Now Al helps:
- Hunters find deer after a fit of “Buck Fever” that didn’t quite make that perfect shot or the ones ain’t learned yet and are still using that 6.5 Creedmoor they built.
- Hunters in the preseason get a good count on their deer herd and find those hidden bedding areas and food sources for the best stand placement for the season.
- Pet parents reunite with their beloved companions. (Even though he knows they say “I hope the dog didn’t wander too close to Al’s Bayou.”)
- Farmers when their livestock gets out through a gap in the fence and can’t be found.
He can even help with any aerial photography/videography ideas you have. Weddings, fishing tournaments, real estate, property, storm damage, construction updates, and he is even working on some light mapping services.
“If it’s worth seeing, you can get a better view from above.”
That’s why you’ll never see Al without two things:

Because being cool is not an option.
🎮 His drone controller.
Because he is always ready to get eyes in the sky!
