Let’s chat about engagement sessions.

First off, they are meant to be fun. If it feels like your mom’s annual photoshoot.. we’re doing it wrong.

It should feel like a date night captured. My aim is to allow you to have an experience outside of your photos.

Bring champagne, bring the dog, hell, bring a board game if you want. If it helps you feel like you’re at home enjoying each others company that’s what it’s all about.

Your engagement season is so fleeting, I really want to capture the love, excitement and giddy anticipation that defines this time.

It’s that bittersweet time of year, where my 2025 weddings are coming to an end, but I’m simultaneously talking with so many sweet couples that are just at the beginning of their journey.

Taking couples through their engagement to wedding day creates such a special relationship, and I’m so grateful that so many amazing couples trust me to walk beside them.

Truthfully, I’m not just there to snap photos. I’m framing memories of one of the most special days of your life, and it’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly.

I’m admittedly a sentimental sap, but I have visions of your grandkids passing these images on the stairs, at you grey haired and wrinkled looking back at your wedding day on your 30th anniversary… and I know that I’m solely responsible for what is captured, how your story is told and deciding what you might reminisce most about years from now.

It’s why I’m so adamant about hearing your story, understanding your priorities and making sure I do it justice.

To all of those who have trusted me before, thank you from the bottom of my heart. To all of those couples who are trusting me moving forward, thank you too! We are going to have so much fun together and I pinky promise to take care of your sweet memories ❤️

In Italy we had the cutest, sweetest nonna as our Airbnb host and she kept referring to me as “the next mother”

It a title that A. Sounds like something out of game of thrones and B.I will gladly be assuming until this little one makes his debut…

Please see the last slide for said nonna, who demanded that I send baby photos via WhatsApp come December 🥹😭

She also baked us a cake that we ate for breakfast and did not regret it for one second.

As I pack my bags to head out for a wedding, I’m reminded of my first travel wedding of the season..

Emily and Daryl said I do in front of their closest friends and family in the land of the giants, sequoia national park.

I’m so grateful that couples want to bring me along for their epic adventures… just know my bags stay ready 😉

Baby boy coming you this Christmas...

If you find yourself wondering where I’ve been, I can only give you the glass ball analogy… the one where it says you can only juggle three glass balls, and if you drop one the world explodes… or something like that…

Growing a human is a really exhausting process. My bandwidth allows me to stay alive, focus on my work and get the mountain of laundry tackled, and that’s about it.

Things like social media feel like a mountain I’d rather ignore for now.

Things in real life just feel so much sweeter. My relationships are deeper, I cry a bit more easily now, my outlook on weddings is shifting slowly but growing broader. I now watch mother son dances with almost a tangible knowing. I look to parents faces when their daughter walks down the aisle… not that I ever didn’t, but I feel as though I know straddle this line where I want to reach for each of their hands. Both the bride and their mom.

Both a parent and a bride/groom are stepping into a new reality on a wedding day. One is letting go of a role while the other is stepping into it… maybe not parenthood just yet, but stepping into what it means to build a family, with a partner that will stand by your side.

Nothing is ever going to be the same, but I’m not sure I would want it to. Being pregnant is like being slowly encased in amber. It’s a slow knowing… I expect to learn more through this process than any other time in my life. So please excuse while I ponder the beautiful circle of life and ignore Instagram for a bit longer.

Styled shoots are fun—but doing them with friends who get it? Even better.

This wasn’t just about pretty photos (though we got plenty of those, Jordanne is a literal goddess)—it was about playing, trying new things, and remembering why we love what we do.

These kinds of creative days fill me up and keep me inspired heading into a busy season.

Spring in Boone feels like the perfectly scene from an old-fashioned romance. It gives Anne of Green Gable vibes...

The kind where you can stroll hand in hand through the western pasture, with a warm soft breeze whispering through the trees.

It’s a time of creamy sunsets that paint the sky, setting later than the day before.

The world slows down, and everything feels a little more magical.

I’m so lucky to call this place home.

Coming out of my winter slump with the most extra Canva design ever.

BUT I’ve got a lot of new faces around here and I’m starting to hear from a lot of new 2026 couples, so I thought it would be fun to get to know me a bit.

Here’s the face behind the lens.

I am an enneagram 7, which means, I’m enthusiastic about almost everything.. (think golden retriever energy) but I WILL cry if I see your grandparents do… honestly anything. I’m incredibly sentimental, which means I’m sappy and yes I do cry at every wedding (thank you waterproof mascara)

I’m a laid back jokester with a very serious passion for my craft. I blame my Boston bred husband for my taste in filthy jokes, but in my heart, I’m a girl’s girl. I will talk fashion with you all day and watch movies like Miss Congeniality while I do cardio.

Life feels like a constant ping ponging between simple, slow-mountain living, and bursts of indulgent chaos. I’ve never fully decided between cities, mountains, beaches or small towns and I’ve been really lucky to have lived in them all.

I truly feel I have the best job in the world. However, similar to my home preferences, I can’t decide between elopements, backyard weddings or luxurious shebangs… In the end, I am a sucker for a love story, and that allows me capture whatever that means for you.

Here’s your reminder; hands tell a story.

It’s certainly not a secret that I love a close up shot.

It might be a bit unexpected, but there’s something about a pair of hands doing something on a wedding day that draws me in.

Maybe it’s multigenerational.. the hands of your mother, and sister zipping you into your wedding dress. All of your siblings coming in for a cheers. Maybe it’s the hand of your SIL holding your nephews perfectly plump baby thigh.

There’s just something so expressive to me in a set of hands. Even eliminating the face, you can still tell a story just in the hands.

I’m about to sign off social until the new year, but wanted to say a truly, deep in my gut thank you to all the couples who have trusted me in 2024.

2024 in some ways has felt like the easiest year I’ve had in a bit. Life had some curveballs, most notably; Helene. But we had our hot water heater kicks the bucket, flat tires, etc. but I can’t say that I’ve been anything but blessed this year.

I had absolutely stellar couples who trusted me to capture massive milestones. I’ve worked with new vendors who have become friends. New venues that have broadened my horizons. It’s been really amazing.

Now looking at my instagram, I’m severely lacking in posts over the year, but in my REAL life, I’m really full… and I guess that’s the difference.

If 2025 pans out just like 2024 I can’t say I’ll be disappointed. I have some personal goals for the year, but truly I feel like I have the best job, and it only gets better and better every year.

Cheers to 2024, I hope 2025 is just as sunny.
