A few weeks ago I spent the weekend camping at Redfish Lake. Surprisingly, I only took one photo the whole time. The conditions weren't the best with the smoke, but it was one of the most relaxing weekends I have had this year. Sometimes it's nice to slow down and just relax.

A few images of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse by Newport, OR.

A few months ago I hiked out to the lighthouse with plans to stay until after sunset, but the winds were so strong they were pushing me around and I couldn't keep my tripod from falling over. So I snapped a few photos the best I could and went back into town to walk the harbor. This was such a cool lighthouse, I wish I had more time in the area. I will definitely be back.

Some morning light spilling into the prairie around Hill City, ID

This was taken a few years ago. I was actually driving around looking for some camas lilies to photograph when I stumbled across this scene. I loved the way the light bathed the prairie with this lone building and tree bearing witness to it.

Had a great overnight trip to Alpine Lake a few weeks back.

Didn't get too much sleep because I watched the sunset, got up in the middle of the night to photograph the Milky Way and then got up before sunrise for more photos. Luckily, I run pretty efficiently on little sleep. 😄
