Had a semi-decent weekend for the CM Racing team. Didn’t start out too good for the 51k but ended up being a good end to the night!

Kris pulled a 51 starting him 4th in his heat race, went 4th and was up to 2nd when his left front appeared bent on the back stretch and three turns later coming out of turn two the left front came flying off! Not knowing it came off due to that wheel usually being in the air, went almost another whole lap till realizing he had no breaks and a caution was thrown for his wheel the car stopped causing us to not finish the heat race. Turns out was still residual damage from when we were hit on the invasion prelim night. After scrambling to get things put back together Started 19th in the feature and worked our way up to a 5th place finish! We went +14 spots also earning us the River Valley Builders hard charger award.

Cannon pulled a 30 starting him 3rd in his heat race, was holding his own and got jumped on a restart crossing in 4th however since the one car jumped the start he took a 3rd place finish putting him in a redraw spot. Pulled the 1 pill starting him on the pole for the feature. Was doing a great job keeping his lines and was doing great but got caught on a couple restarts so ended up finishing in 3rd place! This is a huge deal as it’s only been a handful of races he’s been running in the regular classes!

What a night! That is until it wasn’t…two nights in a row made the A-Main redraw out of our heat/qualifier, pull a good pill both nights only to be let down early.

Last night for the main event we pulled a 37 at registration which started us 4th in our heat race. Where we started in the alphabet mains was based of passing points in our heat and qualifying race combined. Went 4th —> 1st in our heat race starting us 2nd in our qualifying race. Went 2nd —> 2nd in our qualifier race which gave us enough points to be put into the redraw for the A-Main! We were last to pull for redraw and yet the only pill left out of 8 pills was the #1! We were starting on the pole for the Northeast Outlaw Invasion! 🤯 We were all excited, proud and the car was on fire the whole night! Got out on the track and lined up went 4 wide and something wasn’t right. Was able to take the green but had to pull off not even making a full lap. Still not sure what caused it to act up will have to evaluate this week and try again next year. We also “won” the first car to not finish the feature award which not really something we wanted to win but thank you to the sponsors who put up the money for those who have tough breaks.

Northeast Outlaw Preliminary night started out well, pulled a 12 which we we were worried about due to it was based off passing points so for once we wanted a higher number, but it worked out and we started 2nd in our heat race and finished first which secured us a spot in the A-main and pill draw! Pulled a 3 for redraw starting us 3rd in the feature. Unfortunately due to some needing to win on the first lap we got ran over and had a bunch of bent parts resulting in having to be towed back ending our prelim night with a 22nd place finish.

Tonight’s another night and the main event for the Northeast Outlaw Invasion. Clean slate and starting from scratch! Come out and show your support!

Weekend recap! 51K kept the wing on again to run with the 21C at GVAT this weekend!

Kris pulled a 90 and Cannon pulled a 97. For some unknown reason they decided to run two large heat races with 11 cars each instead of breaking it up like the wingless heats so both the 51K and 21C started heat race #1 buried last and second to last. At the start Kris was able to pass a few cars but got caught up in the marbles and spun out un 3 & 4 sending him back to 11th…was able to make it up to an 8th place finish for Kris and a 7th place finish for Cannon. Not making redraw put us starting mid pack for the feature. Kris started 15th and Cannon started 13th. Both cars were still tight but managed to move forward. Cannon made it up to 11th and Kris finished 4th. Kris also received the Hard Charger Award for +11 positions!

Next up Kutztown Friday 8/7/26 then GVAT Saturday 8/8/26
