"It was great to have space to think about and, ultimately, stop overthinking how to have fun!" -E

I've put off posting because I don't know where to begin.

The Playshop. It was ... connection. Community. Release. Giggles. Shared, non-judged existence.

There will be more stories, more photos, and most importantly, many more opportunities for joining in this journey.

This was the beginning of something very important for all of us. It's about play, yes, but SO much bigger than that. So much more than that. And I'm just starting to appreciate how much we all need it, *right now*.

Last week, I attended the Balloon Museum pop up in Chicago with a dear friend.

Some of the exhibits were just ok, some were marvelous, superb, and delightfully fanciful.

Regardless of the exhibit, the best part (other than the company) was the PERMISSION and ENCOURAGEMENT to be playful. Silly. To just let go and flop onto something, jump into something else, kick something, or just pause and feel something unique.

*sigh* More of that, please.

Daily life doesn't have to feel like one to-do after another. With a bit of a shift in perspective, it can feel a bit more playful.

Join Lisa Wilson, founder of Playfulli, for an inaugural and intimate playshop (not workshop!) on Thursday, August 27th from 6-8 pm to explore just how this is possible. Bring your curiosity and leave your judgment at home as you learn how play in adulthood is different than play in childhood, yet why it is just as essential to incorporate. Experience a variety of stations that encourage movement, creativity, and shifts in perspective - with no rights and wrongs and plenty of encouragement to explore! After experiencing not only new information, but having actually *played*, you'll leave with inspiration and some tools to integrate playful perspectives into your own daily life.

Now up at Visit Bloomington! If you've been waiting to sign up, now's the time.

Look around at your life. Your job, the way your living room is arranged, your closet clothes that you don’t necessarily love, but needed. How much say did the real, life-loving you have in these things?

Who said it has to be this way?

It’s time to get a little bit curious about this whole “adulting” thing. It’s time to start asking some questions.

Join me and an intimate group of 9 other people for the inaugural Playshop on Thursday, August 27th, 2026 to explore different perspectives on how life can look and feel.

Working through the perspectives of PLAY, we’ll explore what play means in adulthood and how those perspectives can help break through barriers you didn’t even know were there.

And because the mind can only go so far, we’ll spend a majority of the time actually playing. Through various stations guaranteed to bring a smile to your face, you’ll PLAY your way into deeper breathing and deeper understanding of how fun life can feel.

Whoa... 2 of the 10 available tickets are already gone!

I sent this first to my play group, then posted about this on social media just one time, and now there are just eight tickets remaining.

I have to limit this due to the space and in order to make sure this remains an intimate and accessible experience for those who attend.

If you've been feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and/ or just want to gift yourself the opportunity of a couple of hours to let go and have fun, be sure to grab a ticket soon!
