Badlands National Park at night... vehicles approaching in the distance create fun enhancements. I am not a big fan of editing and enhancing photos in a dramatic way. I guess I am more of a purist so my images look different than a lot of other photographers. Not as vibrant, not as dramatic, because they aren't edited. They show nature as it can be seen ... naturally. That's ok with me.

If you are new here, welcome! Many of you know I take photos, that’s why you’re here. But here’s the ‘rest of the story’. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion and then a side gig. When I started posting some of my images and had requests from friends to purchase them, I published calendars that quickly sold out. I also became a Pride of Dakota member, participating in holiday showcase events across North Dakota. Through these and other events like the The Downtowners' Street Fair, I met so many talented photographers and artists. In 2020, Sapphire Gallery & Custom Framing-ND was born and opened in my hometown, Jamestown ND. I commuted from Carrington to operate the business. More than 30 artists would consign their work and allowed me the privilege to represent them. Fast forward to today. Due to relocation, Sapphire Gallery and Custom Framing is now located in Bismarck. You’ll find the work of twenty artists from across North Dakota. And if you have custom framing needs, that can be done here, too. I invite you to stop in and take a look.
