What I love most about photography is not only capturing memories for others, but also making amazing friends along the way.
With the wonderful happy side of photography also comes reality and sometimes sadness. That was the case with adorable hospice rescue dog, Cloud. When his mama first asked me to photograph him 7 years ago, she shared the sad story of how he was abandoned and left for dead until she found him & decided to give him a forever him thus giving him a second chance on life. For 7 years, I watched cloud blossom and grow with so much love, care and tenderness from his mama and dad. Despite his numerous medical ailments he continued to strive until he grow tired and couldn’t go on anymore.
With a heavy heart we all say goodbye to Cloud as he crossed the rainbow bridge. I was HONORED to capture his photos during his 7 years but also humbled to capture his final photo shoot. But most importantly honored to have become his honorary “Auntie Iris”.
You were so loved sweet boy. I’m comforted with the knowledge that all dogs go to heaven. You were the goodest of good boys my sweet Cloudy ☁️ Cloud…
