I’m guilty of it too.

We focus so much on the wrong things.

Impressing people who don’t care about us. Trying to fit in with the wrong crowd. Killing ourselves chasing success.

Meanwhile, the world we’re building all of that success in is literally being taken from us.

None of the money, status, or success will matter if we lose the very world that makes any of it possible.

And we’re losing it a lot faster than most people realize.

Maybe it’s time to slow down and notice what’s going on, outside of our bubbles.

The world is so much more beautiful when you slow down.

Really enjoyed catching up with Ken and getting out in nature. Finding time to balance my nature work with Story Bank Media has been challenging, but I think I’m finding my rhythm.

Thankful to be busy from what I prayed for. Thankful to be a part of God’s creation.

Do yourself a favor and get out in nature soon. You’ll never feel more close to God.

I was recently called the “Nature Police” and I have to admit…

I kinda like it. 🤓

God didn’t give us dominion so we could destroy what He created. He gave us the responsibility to steward it.

So if caring about His creation makes me the Nature Police… Hand me the badge… again. 👮🏾‍♂️

I’m not saying you have to join a conservation organization [although they may be some of the coolest people you’ll ever meet]

I’m just saying do your part.

Respect the wildlife.
Protect the places they call home.
Leave things better than you found them.

Pelicans have survived 30 million years.

Shifting oceans.
Changing climates.
Entire ecosystems coming and going.

Today, tons of Brown Pelicans die every year in Florida alone because of fishing gear.

And that’s only one species, one state, and one human made problem… a tiny fraction of the wildlife lost to human impact.

Not nature.
Us.

Nature was here first.

A big welcome to our new Cahaba River Coalition Board Members! We are thrilled about the expertise that Adam, Jimmy, Damion, and Don bring to our organization.

The board helps to push our mission forward by providing strategic guidance and supporting programs so that we leave a lasting impact. Thank you to former and current board members alike for helping us to preserve and protect the Cahaba.

Honored to join the Board of the Cahaba River Coalition

The Cahaba River has always been a place I find peace. The more time I spend there, the more I appreciate just how important it is. Not only for its incredible biodiversity, but for the role it plays in our everyday lives.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to help bring more awareness to this incredible resource and to do what I love most: encourage more people to get outside, experience nature, and see why it’s worth protecting.
