I’ve been sorting through things from my biological father and both sets of my grandparents recently.
I have various collections of five people‘s things who have moved to heaven in my house.
It’s all that’s left here. Their things…are well, just, things.
And there are a few items that have some sentimental meaning - what I really what have found myself treasuring the most are the photos.
They are not vapid, meaningless things, but a memory, a moment, a legacy remembered. Little Ebenezers and reminders.
Seeing each other us powerful. Remembering one another is a gift.
And ultimately, these beautiful photos will one day fade away too.
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:18 NIV
