Wild About You Photography is husband-and-wife team Chris Anderson and Lily Chou, who found each other through a mutual love of punk rock and photography. Chris even moved 2,000 miles so we could go to shows, travel the world, and create photos and videos together! We're cuckoo about showcasing your unique personalities, telling your one-of-a-kind stories, and capturing the unscripted, unexpected moments that pepper any event.

We recently returned home from 2 weeks in Vietnam, our minds reeling from incredible experiences and lingering colds. But with horrifying headlines and tissues everywhere, late January felt like a fever dream, even though neither of us actually had fevers.

There was a sliver of light in our crowded inbox, however: an email from Masters of Wedding Photography announcing that Chris is one of the Top 3 wedding photographers in North America for 2025!!! (👀 Swipe through to see the photos that helped him achieve this title.)

We're endlessly grateful to the wonderful couples who welcome us into their love stories, who trust us to witness the vows, the tears, the joyful chaos. Every wedding we photograph is a privilege, and this honor belongs to them as much as it does to him.

We can’t wait to continue telling these stories, to stand (or crouch!) beside more couples as they promise their lives to one another and to keep preserving the moments that pass far too quickly. 💖

We first met Holly & Josh back in 2010 while filming the music video for the first single of Josh’s band, the Wrong Words. Little did we know that we'd be capturing their wedding 15 years later! 🥹

They tied the knot in a heartfelt, intimate ceremony at Holly’s new studio (she’s an incredible ceramicist), then took the party to their longtime stomping grounds: the Make-Out Room. These two have been to countless shows there over the years--sometimes with Josh on stage, sometimes cheering from the crowd.

Unsurprisingly, their talented friends made up the wedding band, and the newlyweds took their first dance on that familiar floor. (We'll have to ask them if it felt like a dream!) Later in the evening, Holly & Josh performed a duet (the Beach Boys' "Forever"), Josh debuted a beautiful song he wrote just for the occasion, and Holly jumped back on stage for Otis Redding's "Try a Little Tenderness." The whole day felt deeply personal and full of love. Congratulations, Holly & Josh! Rock’n’roll romance at its finest. 🎸❤️

It seems like just yesterday we were exploring the wilds of Lands End with Crystal & Spencer, but the timestamp on these photos tells us otherwise--this adventure took place last June! Today, this sweet couple is embarking on an epic journey and we absolutely cannot wait to celebrate with them. Happy wedding day, Crystal & Spencer!

Last spring, Delainey & Zech invited us on an adventure along the American River in Folsom. Did we have a blast scrambling over rocks and navigating the shoreline with them? You bet! 🌸 Happy Friday! Now that spring is here, we’re excited to announce that we’ll be doing 2 FREE portrait pop-ups in April at one of our favorite venues in Berkeley!

WHEN: Tuesdays April 1 and 15 from 4pm-7pm
WHERE: Brazilian Room (1500 Wildcat Canyon Rd. in Tilden Park)

These pop-ups will take place in conjunction with the Brazilian Room’s Cherry Blossom Celebration, an open-house event that will run both days from 4pm-8:30pm. Whether or not you’re planning a wedding or event here or elsewhere, you’re invited to bring your friends and loved ones, pause for a portrait, savor some snacks, and view the historic 1930s venue.

These 5-minute portrait sessions with the Brazilian Room's enchanting heritage cherry trees will be first come, first served, and include 2 edited high-res photos—one photo of our choice and one of yours.

Last week, Masters of Wedding Photography revealed the Top 10 wedding photographers of North America in addition to the winners of their final 2024 photo contest. What a treat to see Chris’s name on the list!!!

It goes without saying that this couldn’t have happened without all the fabulous couples who trusted us to document their life-changing day for them and all the folks who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make those weddings happen. Thank you! ❤️

We know we're not alone ushering in 2025 with heavy hearts, thinking about all the wonderful people we lost last year. But we also know that the best way to honor those who are no longer with us is to appreciate what we have and live our lives fully. So we'd like to take a moment to express gratitude to all of you who've supported us, supported our small business, and/or brought us some joy and laughter this past year. 💙 Onwards and upwards!
