I spent a lot of time in doctor’s offices when I was younger.
Chronic ongoing hip pain and multiple orthopedic surgeries meant I couldn’t do much physically, and so I turned to creative outlets like painting and photography to fill my time.
I saw a lot of exam rooms, and spent a lot of time staring at the walls. Some were empty, some had anatomy posters, and some were graced with beautiful art (some terrible art here and there too 😆)
As I would sit there waiting to see doctors, I would always think to myself “I want my art on these walls someday.”
Fast forward to today, I work at a as the content marketing manager, and as all of you know, sometimes in my free time I go for adventures and take photos along the way.
When our hospital was looking for a way to spruce up our exam rooms, I immediately volunteered my landscape favorites from over the years.
It is an honor, and a full circle moment to see my photos hanging on our exam room walls and to know my photos might bring peace and tranquility in moments that can feel nerve-racking, stressful and often times sad 🤍
