If you know me, you know I love built-ins. Right after purchasing this house I knew I wanted to open up the stairwell and bring in some natural light ..and also build built-ins (of course). The first step was to tear into it and see what was going on behind the wall. Turned out we had load bearing studs back there. With that information, I could start designing. Next you'll see my design which incorporated the existing studs. I then handed it off to my "master of all things" dad and he made it come to life. 💯 Seriously transforms the space and brings some beautiful light into the stairwell. ☀️
The experience helping, watching and learning from my dad on this project gave me the skills to build the bathroom built-ins and kitchen built-ins (yes there are built-ins you haven't seen yet). 🥳

Sibling cuteness 🥰 These kiddos are already almost three years older than in these photos. I always like to tell people photos are for today but mostly for the years down the road. 💛 Time flies!

While renovating, I came across a shelf board that had awesome shelf liner paper on it. I put it aside with the intent to create a towel hanger with it. I framed the board, painted it and attached hooks. Done! I also may or may not have the paper design as my phone background. So pretty! 😍
