Happy 15th anniversary of ordination to Fr. Brent Maher. His "yes" has blessed the life of his community, and of our own family, in innumerable ways. We're so grateful for all that he is and all the ways he allows the Lord to work through him.
Today is also a wonderful chance to look back at the photos we took 5 years ago at the Solemn High Latin Mass that he celebrated for his tenth anniversary. It was our honor to photograph and preserve that special day.

On this Memorial Day we remember all who have made the ultimate sacrifice including the husband of Mary’s first cousin once removed - Ronald Francis Rod.
At the time of his passing TIME magazine published an article about the lasting positive impact he made in Vietnam (link below), despite only being there a few months before he was killed in action. Even in that short time he was able to start a soap and clothing drive for Vietnamese children in collaboration with the Archdiocese of New Orleans. And he laid the groundwork for an orphanage there that still bears his name. He left behind his wife Carolyn and their 5 young children, and he left us all a legacy of kindness and selflessness that reaches through the generations. We hope that our children will continue to tell his story to their children, and that his sacrifice, the sacrifice of his family, and that of so many others won’t soon be forgotten.
