Lightship Frying Pan LV 115/WAL 537 Lighthouse

This Lightship was finished being built and put into service in 1930 and decommissioned in 1965, where it moved around and sunk a couple times but would eventually find itself to live in New York as a restaurant!

Duty Assignments:

1930 – 1942: Frying Pan Shoals (NC)
1942 – 1945: Examination Vessel, WWII
1945 – 1964: Frying Pan Shoals (NC)
1964 – 1965: Relief (4th District, Cape May, NJ)
