I’m not a worrier by nature (or choice), but I worry about water or lack thereof… with that being said, this summer has not only been hot and humid, but DRY and concerning. It weighs heavily on my mind each time I look at my dead lawn and my disaster of a garden…… I’ve been a little depressed about it actually. That is until yesterday when I made myself go out to the garden….. what I found were plants that have thrived without my assistance. Mainly flowers, but I’ll take it!! It occurred to me that what I was desperately trying to control was out of my control and guess what….. see the beauty below. The plants didn’t need to be in straight rows or even ones I planted …. They came up where they wanted, grew and bloomed without soil or water!

Maybe, just maybe we could do the same with the folks around us???
This country and our seeming slow walk towards disaster also weighs heavily - we all seem to know what’s best for everyone around us even when we don’t have all the information…: we want the garden to look just so and produce exactly what WE deem appropriate….

I’m gonna take a break from the socials because that is good for my soul and let you be you and I’ll be me and hope that we can bloom like these flowers in the months to come. Take good care of YOU and please, please do some thinking for yourself and be kind to all!
