Absolutely gorgeous day at Heart's Journey Stables for the Dressage and Combined Training show! Today is the COMPLETE opposite of yesterday. Yesterday was a full blown dumpster fire. Today? Sunshine, rainbows, and significantly less internal screaming. 🌈😂

First of all, my charger for my ASUS finally arrived, which means I can edit exponentially faster again. I knew my old HP Envy was slow, but after switching back to my ASUS, I realized I was basically editing photos in the digital equivalent of the Oregon Trail days. If anyone needed proof that technology affects mood, here it is. I am MUCH less grouchy today. 😅

Then I had a Zoom meeting with Zenfolio, and Alex (who is an absolute SAVIOR, seriously, if anyone from Zenfolio sees this, give that man a raise and a coffee immediately ☕👏🏼) walked me through fixing the Digital Download shopping process on my website, and gave me other tips for packages and basic shortcuts for my own sanity.

I’ve gotten a LOT of messages from clients saying the process was confusing/frustrating, and honestly, I agreed. But now? We fixed it. 🙌🏼
Better workflow for me means a smoother shopping experience for you guys, which makes everybody happier!

AND THEN because apparently today was “productive adulting” day, I met with Aftershoot on a Zoom call. They’re gathering feedback from photographers about workflow, and since my type of photography is a little different from their “typical” users, I wanted to show them how I’ve made Aftershoot work for me.

Not gonna lie, now that I really understand the workflow, it’s honestly just as fast as PhotoMechanic for culling. 👀

After many hours with tech support, my editing software, my website host, AND a third-party SD card recovery team, I think I finally won the battle ⚔️😅

At some point, my SD card decided to enter its villain era and corrupted a portion of files. I was able to recover a large amount of the data, but unfortunately some files were ultimately lost. I still don’t know exactly what caused it, but I’m already taking steps to make sure this never happens again.

I also received the screenshot below from someone earlier today, and I wanted to share it here just in case it was related to the SD card corruption issue. On my end, Sunday’s gallery appears to be working normally now, but if anyone else sees broken images or weird messages while scrolling, please let me know ASAP!

All orders placed today have been fulfilled and/or sent off to the lab for printing, thank you all so much for your patience while I wrestled technology for the last 15 hours 🫠

I’m officially stepping away from my computer for the night before I start seeing Lightroom catalogs in my dreams, but if anyone has any issues at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Well, folks, a client gave me the heads-up that some photos went AWOL from last night’s gallery.

Despite my late-night tech battle, the tech won this round. But don’t worry, I’ll wrangle the missing shots and upload them once I’m home.

Yesterday’s horse show gallery is officially LIVE! 🎉🐴

After an intense battle with my software earlier today (pretty sure we were both one click away from throwing hands 🤠💻), I somehow STILL managed to pull off a same-day turnaround… even if it is now basically midnight. 😂

Thank you all for your patience while I fought for my life behind the editing screen.

📸 A quick note for anyone new to ordering photos:
The easiest way to keep track of your favorite images is to click the ❤️ “Favorite” button while browsing the gallery. This lets you compare photos side-by-side later and saves you from the “wait… where did that picture go?” panic spiral. Once you’ve narrowed down your favorites, you can purchase directly from that list!

✨ A few important things to know before ordering:

• The images currently in the gallery are proofs, so every purchased image is individually hand edited by me before delivery.
• BOTH digital downloads and print orders come to me for approval first.
• Because I work a full-time schedule outside of photography AND hand edit every image individually, digital downloads may take 1–2 days to be delivered after purchase.
• Prints are processed and shipped through my professional lab, so shipping times depend on the lab’s turnaround.
