Traffic Collision Leaves Two Injured in Central Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, Ca A serious traffic collision early Saturday morning left two people injured, including one victim who suffered major injuries, according to emergency responders.
The crash occurred at approximately 1:02 a.m. on June 13, 2026 near the intersection of 24th Street and Alder Street in Bakersfield. Emergency crews arrived on scene and located two injured victims following the collision.
One victim sustained major injuries, and CPR was reportedly in progress as paramedics worked to provide emergency life-saving treatment. Both victims were transported to a local hospital for further care.
The intersection was temporarily blocked off while officers secured the scene and began an investigation into what led up to the crash. Traffic in the area was diverted as evidence was collected.
The Bakersfield Police Department is handling the investigation. At this time, officials have not released further details regarding the cause of the collision or the conditions of those involved.
