Anxiety has been a part of most of my life, and as of late it’s only gotten worse. I’m just now coming out of... something. Idk what it was to be honest but it fu**in sucked... I wish I could offer a positive takeaway or something but honestly I ain’t got it 😬 So, in lieu of both that and any more of my vulnerability, I will make up this poem right now:

✨📝✨

dissonance in the distance.
mortality holds firm and ugly.

cold-pressed and neutered silence
nestle the honey of my veins
as sunrise flutters by.

this island doesn’t bring
the warmth it promised.

only the flooded brass of solitude,
the hum and murmur of death,
and the swelling hope for something holy.
