Austin, TX based fine art portrait and wedding photographer. I have always been fascinated by telling stories. Oh, and I can also throw 165lbs over my head.

Be it in the form of a photograph showing the love between a couple, or an editorial piece about an interdimensional traveller, story is everything to me. Because of this, I found myself taking on other roles outside of Woman Pointing Camera at Subject. I have become a stylist, an illustrator, a writer, and even - sometimes - an amateur makeup artist. In a sense, I am a modern Renaissance (wo)man.

I love a wedding day that looks a little different. Strolls around the Blanton, lakeside sunset ceremony, family traditions at home, and laughter with those closest to you with a feast that could feed an army = my kind of day.

It was so fun shooting with lucia katie ibanez again at the Round Rock Studio open house last week!! We haven’t shot together since 2021 and the vibes were just as fire. Many a karaoke song was played to get the rocker vibes. I put on the Dungeon Crawler Carl Alarm Trap playlist, and proceeded to get both Fergalicious and Physical stuck in my head. Who else has been in a chokehold of DCC obsession? 100% going to try and put together a cosplay of some sort for it, despite the fact I will be working on Halloween proper!

There’s this running joke among photographers that you always get the best sunsets…on the days you aren’t shooting. I’ll be driving home and see crazy clouds and think “damn, hope someone has a session tonight” 😂 but during the open house at the Wildflower Center that 3 Of Cups Events put together a couple of weeks ago, there was the MOST stunning sunset while I was out with these two doing an impromptu couples session session as we walked to the archway and chatted!! We 100% had to take advantage.

My favorite part of photographing proposals is the giddy excitement that shines through in portraits! After any proposal I spend 15-20 minutes doing a mini engagement session, and one of these shots almost always ends up as the cover of the save the dates. You’ll never have a bigger smile on your face than the moment you say yes(except the wedding day, of course).

What’s even better is when the excitement can continue with all your best friends waiting in the wings for a surprise engagement party!

I love seeing the different elements of Texas culture that clients pull in for their activations at off sites. This event in particular really went all out!

Of course, a mechanical bull(a classic for a reason)

And subtle western decor alongside the awards ceremony. These touches make for such dynamic shots, I never ran out of new things to shoot over this 3 day event!

Austin pride parade film is innnnn! I am always so stoked to go through the scans and see the different moments. Half of these are out of focus or underexposed and I still love them just as much. Could I have gotten technically perfect photos if I took my digital camera? Yeah, but where’s the fun in that?? Gamble on 36 exposures and see what sticks. And learn the lesson to not take 100iso film to an event where the parade starts at sunset because you WILL not be able to stop shooting and they WILL be blurry and underexposed AF at the end.

Swipe through and spy my Dino inspired outfit that I manically sewed the tail for the night before the parade, and my husband’s Dino costume that Nate The Great made the base for and I finished with one Dino arm and paint.

This one was special. Don Stinson (Don Stinson) has been a family friend for ages, so photographing him and his wife Barbara at home for Western Art & Architecture (Western Art & Architecture) felt less like a shoot and more like an afternoon spent immersed in their lives.

The feature balances the architecture of the house with the life happening inside it: his art everywhere you look, the two of them in their element, and yes, the cats, who I obviously had to photograph any moment they were near me.

A proposal for the ages!! ✨

It’s so cool to me how my business can bring me back to the same location in the most unexpected of ways - I photographed the groundbreaking for this building several years ago, and one of the builders just so happened to connect with me as he was planning to bring his fiance to be up into the building mid construction for a “company event” as a cover for his surprise proposal. It was so fun revisiting somewhere I photographed as it was just a pile of dirt, now a skyscraper with an epic view! The light cast through the window as the sunset had me so inspired.

When I walked into the venue and saw these florals from Monarch Florals I gasped at how beautiful they were! I mean, there was an entire tree in the reception space? Absolutely magical.
