My vows to you
You are everything I’ve ever wanted, and everything i didn’t know i needed in my life.
From the first time i saw your smile pop up on my phone, from day one, you blew me away. Every cliche corny thing I’ve heard other people say about a soulmate. I’ve found myself saying in the most real way. Your eyes had a kindness and pure joy i hadn’t seen before. Your smile is genuine and beautiful.
I knew i had to meet you, and once we talked in JJ’s BarbQ after a swipe right and a very specific line of questioning.... to see if your life being a badass hardworking, single mother, living life all in for Madden was going to line up with mine. Little did we know we had both been living the same life on different corners of the world.
Im so extremely dumbfounded even to this day that you exist. You are everything i could have ever dreamed of in a woman, a partner in crime, a drop dead sexy mexi-greek-russian-coconut. You’re my best friend.
I look forward to every morning when i open my eyes to see you, and every day when we get to be just me and you before we fall asleep.
When life throws storms our way i know you’re right there with me. You accepted me when all i had to offer was me, a bunch of drama not a penny to my name and two crazy kids who were lost and starting over.
You helped me see i deserved more out of life. That a family filled with love can withstand anything that life throws our way. I always wanted someone who looked forward to family dinners, trips to Disney world, skiing in the mountains, or dressing up like pirates in Turks and Caicos to shoot a wedding.
You above all accepted not only me, but Lilly and Brody like you’ve known them your whole life. You gave me another son in Madden and you love all three of Our kids in a way that makes me awestruck daily. With every act of selflessness, every late night errand to make sure all our kids have everything at all times. Every field day, class trip, lunch date just to make them feel loved. You are all in and have a givers heart, I truly never thought love like yours existed.
After all we’ve seen in our lives and all the hard challenges and struggles you wonder why i believe there is a creator to this world. The fact that you fell into my lap when i wasn’t even looking, i didn’t even think true love existed at the point you walked into my life. You truly are the proof. the reason i believe there is someone driving this crazy train.
The fact that we both look at life the same in almost every way, have been through the same earth shattering hardships, found our own way and built our own happiness regardless of everything, we constantly read each other’s minds without explanation. You’re always right there with me at every twist and turn. And if we hadn’t walked into each other’s life at exactly the time and place we did while i was living between two counties and you were one step away from giving up on love. we both swiped right and the rest is history.
I don’t know where this life will take us, where it will lead. But for however long i get the privilege to be on this earth, I know one thing. I want you by my side. I want to wake up to you every day and i want to fall asleep watching Greys anatomy repeats with you every night. I want you to be the squirrel to my nut, the woman i get to smile and call mine. I want to adventure together every single day from now on. I love you more than i can verbalize and i cant wait to live the rest of this life with you and our crazy kids.
