The ceremony was postponed until after dark… so what does that mean? A photographer that needs to know how to utilize flash to make sure your photos are still gorgeous despite the sun being down❤️

But there’s so much more that goes into your photo session. I know you want to update your walls… but also, let’s have a little fun with it!

My goal at the end of your session is that your kids feel comfortable giving me a high five (only if they want to😉)
And that your husband doesn’t hate me🤣🤪

True love.

Love at first glance.

Love for eternity.

Some believe in these phrases wholeheartedly and others are more timid with it.

Heres my take on it: love is a choice. You are not marrying a perfect person and frankly.. you aren’t perfect either. When it comes to spending the rest of your life with somebody, you have to go into it believing the best in them.

They’re going to make mistakes and so will you. How you bounce back from them will be the deciding factor of if your marriage will last❤️

You never truly realize the gravity of a photo until you’re looking for it — whether it be 1 year or 10 years later.

Even as a photographer, I sometimes forget just how important my job is… because it’s that. It’s a job.

But even so, I recently lost my grandmother.. the first really big loss to me. As I was looking back for photos of her and I.. or even instances where somebody…anybody captured a photo of us together or her with my kids.

I realized I don’t have a photo of her and my daughter and I’ll never get that back.

So here’s your reminder — especially with the holidays right around the corner

TAKE THE DANG PHOTO.

We are so blessed to have a camera literally hanging in our pocket or purse. Take the photos. Even if you think you aren’t “thin enough”. Or you’re ugly crying. Take the photo❤️

Me too🤣

They probably got it from their dad🤔😅

Just kidding… kind of.

But seriously! Fall Mini sessions are the perfect sessions for families with Littles. Odds are, they’re going to tap out after about 15-20 minutes of smiling at me and me acting the fool trying to get them to smile🤪

This time of year is my favorite for families because it brings me so much joy seeing families interact with each other and capturing the unforgettable.

I need this reminder as much as anyone else — these kiddos are only going to be so little for so long. The days are long, but the years are short❤️
