My specialty right now are capturing engaging, candid shots of athletes during games or high intensity training workouts. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, I also shoot weddings! My buddy Collin Madden and I are an incredible team when it comes to creating videos of your dream day.

Made some great connections at Kipona festival

Shooting anything that doesn't move poses more of a challenge for me than shooting high-intensity sports. I know, it doesn't make any sense

TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE

We adopted Paulos from Ethiopia when I was in 8th grade. I remember taking a few days off of school in preparation to welcome him into his new home. He didn't speak any English. I remember my parents driving in late one night and carrying him through the front door. Then, I was too young and naive to realize how much love I could have for him. I had no idea that my life was changing right in front of me. Now, he's packing up his room and preparing his new life in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Our family would not be anything with you. You have impacted all of us more than you will ever know. I am so thankful and grateful for you and most importantly, so incredibly proud of the young man you've become. As the oldest, you are the last of the siblings I get to watch go off and create your own life. It's.. weird, and also confirms how incredibly old I am.

Be your own man, make your own decisions. There will be many challenging obstacles, and also many moments that will stay with you for the rest of your life. Seize every single one and make this experience one of the best parts of your life. You will be missed and will always be loved.

COVERING ALL BASES

Being a sports photographer is so cool because the possibilities are seemingly endless

Every sport comes with it's own set of unique challenges. So like, I can shoot hockey with the challenge of shooting through the plexiglass. Basketball comes with horrible lighting and learning the teams' patterns and plays. Baseball comes with being patient and waiting for the action etc.

Every sport is so different and poses different challenges than the next, keeping it fresh and exciting each time I get to shoot another sport.

I stared and re-edited and stared and re-cropped and stared at these pictures for too long, I started to hate them. I don't have as much experience with basketball as I do hockey, so I was getting very frustrated when my pictures weren't turning out the way I wanted.

Shooting inside sports has been a challenge in itself that I'm still trying to master, with the main issue being pictures that are barely croppable unless you don't mind a super grainy image, which I honestly can't stand. However, we will prevail!

Going to shoot the Auburn gymnastics team tonight!

REACH FOR THE BARS

MAYHEM ON THE MOUNTAIN

This is going to be a ranting post so feel free to disregard.

Last time I posted my pictures from Mayhem, I was scrolling through Instagram a few days later and saw one of my pictures was posted on Mayhem's Instagram profile without an @, my name, my watermark, and terrible quality. I made a comment myself, and it was deleted not long after.

I can not tell you how livid I was, but I remained professional. Messaging them asking them to either tag me or take it down. They replied that they had no idea it was my picture and that they were told to post it which honestly seems even worse.

I had made connections at Mayhem and offered my services for the next event, never hearing back. As a photographer who has taken pictures for free for the past few years and has struggled finding work that will pay my bills, it was a slap in the face to see. I'm sure it won't be the last time it happens, and next time I will be more prepared.

At first they had reposted it on their story with my @, but not soon after ended up taking it down which I'm very thankful. I'm sure they went to someone above them and told them what had happened.

With all this to say, obviously I want my pictures shared and reposted and whatever else, but with recognition. I have worked so hard to get to where I am today and am so proud of how my work has improved. We live in a time where media is so easily accessible and illegally downloaded and blah blah blah and it really sucks for people like me who are wanting to make a living making art. Just please be mindful about where you're getting your content from. Alright, rant over. If you made it this far, thanks for reading and enjoy my pictures

Don't have many words today other than I'm gonna miss the hell out of shooting the hockey team

Thank you so much to and her team for letting me shoot for part of this season. If it weren't for this opportunity, I don't think I would have ever fallen in love with this sport. I made connections with so many other sports photographers who have increased my motivation to improve my photographs. It's truly inspiring finding people that share your values and passions, especially when you've been at a loss for what seems like forever

AUBURN VS ALABAMA

I think hockey is slowly becoming my favorite sport to shoot (don't tell the other sports).

Shooting through the scuffed up acrylic barrier combined with the dim lighting are challenges that I've had to overcome. I have learned and improved so much just from shooting in the rink: figuring out how to get the pictures less grainy, more focused, and finding the best composition within the frame.

Can't wait to shoot the girls in a few days!!

NY CHRISTMAS 2022

Square shots from this past trip to New York with mom and dad

1. New York pigeons are so damn comfortable around people that when I ran at them, not only did they stay exactly where they were but one decided to fly in. Made for an interesting shot though, thanks pigeon!

2. The contrast between light versus dark and man-made versus nature. The tree tries to grab the sky while being trapped to the building; notice the reflection of the branches in the window almost confirming the struggle

3. There was a lady with a cotton candy maker on the sidewalk who made this little girl insanely happy with some pink colored sugar on a stick. You don't see a lot of wholesomeness in NY

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to go to New York with my family as much as I have within the past year. Taking my camera around the city is one of my favorite things to do there, other than eating at and visiting my friends at

AUBURN VS. HUNTSVILLE 2022

Was not aware that Auburn even had an ice hockey team until one of my best friends and fellow content creator reached out about an opportunity to take some pictures for their media team.

I linked up with and her crew, some of the sweetest people I've ever met! They do such incredible work for the hockey team and so many others; I was incredibly happy to be a part of it.

These are just a few of my black and white shots from this game. If you know me, you know shooting in black and white is my absolute favorite, and this first shot is definitely one of my favorites from the game. I can't believe I got this shot; it really is a gamble shooting through the finger-printed plastic walls surrounding the rink.
