Auditions are coming up fast! Make sure you’re prepared by attending our audition workshop on Sunday, March 29th. This will be held in the Carver studio of the UGA Dance Building from 12 pm to 2 pm.

We will go over all three styles you need to know: Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, and Waltz. This will be a great chance to dance with current members, ask questions, and get tips!

Please note that this floor is not suitable for dance heels or street shoes, and you must bring socks or jazz shoes to dance in.

If you’re interested in becoming a member of the Ballroom Performance Group, you’re in luck, because auditions are going to be here before you know it!

On Monday, March 30th, we will be hosting auditions in the Carver studio of the UGA Dance Building. Participants will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in Cha Cha, Waltz, and East Coast Swing. We will begin promptly at 6:30 pm, so make sure to arrive by 6 pm to get ready.

Ballroom Magic 2026 has come and gone in the blink of an eye, an extra-special 35th anniversary event with so many memorable moments. After 36 hours of lost tech and rehearsal time due to snow and ice in Athens, the incredible team pulled off an outstanding show, showcasing a diverse range of ballroom styles and pieces old and new. I’m so grateful to continue to be a part of this production as a UGA Ballroom Alum and am looking forward to next year already. Thank you Mike Fulford and Natalie Cox for having me!

If you missed Ballroom Magic, you can dance alongside UGA Ballroom members at their Friday Night Dance Parties, hosted on the first and third Friday of every month, each beginning with a free 1-hour lesson. UGA Students may also take Ballroom I or Ballroom II as an elective or attend audition workshops to learn the specific vocabulary needed for an audition. Alumni and adults visit dancefx.org for additional regularly scheduled lessons. UGA’s Ballroom Performance Group presents their 35th annual Ballroom Magic performance, Home is Where the Magic Is! Join us for a night of ballroom dancing in a variety of styles presented by group members, BPG alumni, and local performance companies.
