From modern digital content to preserving vintage film and tape formats, Pylon Productions Inc. I have been shooting and editing video under the name Pylon Productions for over 13 years. I would welcome the opportunity to be your video editor or camera op. My experience with video includes; filming, editing and producing video; digital signage; trade shows; corporate events; web based video delivery; and DVD mediums. I have extensive experience with Final Cut Pro, which enables me to address all elements of the video production process from pre-production to post-production to replication and delivery of final product. For visual effects compositing and 2D animation I use After Effects. For my editing I use Adobe PremierCC..along with the other apps in the Adobe suite. I have a vast arsenal of equipment in my production studio; My studio offers many resources available to potential employers including various microphones, Pro lighting kits, 4K cameras with Atmos Ninja V video recorder capturing uncompressed video…Sony NX-80 and a HVR-Z7U for 1080P work. Having a little fun with the #4 iMac G5 teardown...This thing had the "Vinegar syndrome" bad....Hopefully I end up with a bunch of good parts...logic board is getting recapped....and that should end up in my Mom's old iMac.... #1

So out of the 4 iMac 17” G5s that I have, three need the boards to be recapped. The one pristine board is the Revision B board in the iMac I just finished doing a total restoration on….still waiting on the 2GB of RAM and the hard drive temp sensor….also on the way from Apple Rescue of Denver. Out of the three…I am going to tear down the fourth iMac I got as a parts machine off eBay. This a great opportunity to do a little time lapse video of the tear down.

So once again the "buying from China" has backfired....not a big deal, happens from time to time. It's just with the Chi...

So once again the "buying from China" has backfired....not a big deal, happens from time to time. It's just with the Chinese products...when a order goes wrong, you lose the shipping time (weeks) and then the return process time...very aggravating. I was suppose to get two 1GB DIMMs for the first iMac G5 resto...they sent me 2 512k sticks....and they are expecting me to pay for shipping wrong ones back.....the whole order was only $20+. I have already ordered 2 more from a US company...I will eat the cost on the other ones. It's good to have them on hand! If you see a ad like this...don't buy!

So I found a bin on the rack of “old Mac sh*t” and it was full of old Syquest carts all flavors….44 88 270….and a bunch of Zip discs. So I had to fire up some drives and see if there was anything cool on the disk. Well both the Syquest drives were SCSI and I need to fix a few things on my SCSI based workstations….and my Parallel Zip100 drive had been damaged in our move to charlotte….so eBay to the rescue, picked up a untested USB unit….and yes it did not work….the carriage was stuck in the engaged position….took it apart and something’s must have shifted in a drop….back together and works like a charm….be nice if someone had a huge stockpile of discs needing to be rescued :)

So I don't like building websites...designing for websites....or anything to do with websites.....but I need one and like a nice looking one....so how bummed out was I, when I got the email from Solo.com that Nov 30th they are shutting the doors and turning off the lights. :( It was so easy to put together, and I had it just the way I wanted (as much as possible with a free AI site builder). So now I get to start all over again...I'll go with the Google site builder...which is free because I have Google AI Pro....don't quote me on that....anyway better start putting something together.

So the last of the parts are trickling in for the iMac 17" G5. I just got a aftermarket sled to mount and tuck that SSD ...

So the last of the parts are trickling in for the iMac 17" G5. I just got a aftermarket sled to mount and tuck that SSD nicely into the drive bay....I also have the hard drive heat sensor from the second parts iMac I bought....the 2x 1GB RAM sticks will not be here for another 2 weeks....so I will finish getting all the period correct software loaded...and add some goodies....a then post it for sale. A collector will have a very clean little iMac to play around with. Original box, correct keyboard, mouse, fast SSD with fresh OS...I got a line on another revision A or B box with all the foam inserts.....so the second parts machine can go too...after I recap it. And I will recap my Moms old one and keep it.

The payoff is very satisfying…Tiger on a fast SSD running on a 2004 Macintosh. Since I will be selling this one….and I h...

So when I bought the iMac on eBay…the picture showed the screen on with the flashing question mark…so screen and video card worked. When I cracked the back off, everything looked good…nice a clean…no cap leaks, but also no hard drive. I popped a SSD in, that I had on hand. I had planned to install OSX Tiger and see what happens. But the Optical drive was wonky so I thought I would use a disk image I have and make a copy of the Tiger installation disk….but I kept getting tripped up with stupid sh*t….final solution that worked was connecting the iMac to my G4 via FireWire 800 and booting with iMac SSD mounting on G4 desktop……convoluted!
