Senior Night — More Than Just a Game*🥎

For these girls, softball has been more than a sport. It has been a part of their lives for years — early mornings, long practices, tournaments, bus rides, wins, losses, friendships, tears, laughter, and countless hours spent on the field.

Some of these seniors will continue their softball journey at the collegiate level. For others, this season marks the end of something that has been a huge part of who they are.

And that's the part people don't always talk about.

When you pour your heart and your life into something for so long, walking away isn't easy. The game becomes part of your routine, your identity, your friendships, and your memories. Eventually, there comes a moment when you realize the innings are running out.

Tonight, we celebrate more than their accomplishments on the field. We celebrate the years of dedication, the sacrifices, the perseverance, and the young women they've become along the way.

To the seniors: thank you for giving this game your time, your heart, and your best. Whether your next chapter includes a college diamond or a completely different path, the lessons and memories you made on this field will stay with you.

💙🥎 The game may be changing, but the legacy you've built will always be part of this program.

Happy Senior Night, ladies. 💐

📣 FOUR SPORTS. ONE DAY.

And finally… Hoya Youth 5th Grade Cheer!

After spending the day chasing action across lacrosse, baseball and football, it was time to capture the energy, spirit and personality of the cheerleaders.

Because sports photography isn't just about the big plays. It's about the smiles, the celebrations, the teamwork, the focus and all the little moments that make a season memorable.

Four sports. Multiple teams. One very full day behind the camera.

And honestly? This is exactly why I love sports photography. 📸❤️

🏈 FOUR SPORTS. ONE DAY.

After lacrosse and baseball, it was time to trade the diamond for the football field and capture Hoya Youth 5th Grade Football.

The hits. The hustle. The celebrations. The sideline moments.

There is something pretty special about photographing youth sports because you're not just capturing the play — you're capturing a season of memories for the athletes, coaches and families who have put so much into getting there.

By this point, the legs were tired… but the camera wasn't. 😂📸

OUR SPORTS. ONE DAY.

From the lacrosse field, it was time to switch gears and head to the baseball diamond.

West Cobb. Hobgood. Sandy Plains.

Different teams, different fields, different moments — but the same goal behind the camera: capture the intensity, focus, competition and personality that make youth baseball so much fun to photograph.

Baseball has a rhythm all its own, and I love finding those moments between pitches, swings, plays and celebrations.

And yes… the camera was still going. 📸

📸 FOUR SPORTS. ONE DAY.

The day started on the lacrosse field, capturing Hoya vs. Allatoona. From the speed of the game to the battles at the crease, lacrosse is one of those sports that keeps you moving — and keeps the camera working.

As a sports photographer, I love getting to capture the moments that happen in a split second but tell the story of the game long after the final whistle.

One field. Two teams. A whole lot of action. 🥍

And this was only the beginning…

Sometimes the finished image is just the beginning. 📸

Working backward on this one…

➡️ Final product: Images ready for the Cheer and Football moms/coaches to use for their 5th Grade Homecoming banners.

➡️ Next step: I couldn’t just hand parents a folder of kids standing in front of a tree line 😂 So I created custom templates specifically for the cheerleaders and football players, giving each image a finished, polished look that families can actually enjoy and purchase.

➡️ Before that: Hours of editing, selecting the best images, creating the templates, and making sure everything was consistent.

➡️ Before THAT: A small grassy area at Lost Mountain Park, with a tree line in the background, a lighting setup, and a group of awesome kids ready to go.

And that’s the part people don’t always see.

There’s a lot that goes into creating a finished sports portrait — from the location and lighting to the editing and final design. I genuinely love the challenge of taking a simple setup and turning it into something that feels finished and intentional.

The finished images are now available for parents who would like to purchase them. ❤️🏈📣

And now… onto the next gallery! 😂

This week alone, I’ve sent out galleries to 7 different events for more than 19 different organizations and/or schools. Lots to download, images to cull, galleries to build, and stories to tell.

The work is busy. The work is a lot. And I love it.

🏃‍♀️ Running into the week like… LET’S GO! 💨

Fall break was exactly the reset I needed—some time away, lots of memories made, and a chance to slow down for a few days.

But now it’s Monday, the calendar is filling up, and it’s time to get back to the grind! 📸💻🏃‍♀️

Refreshed. Recharged. Ready to get after it.

Let’s make it a great week! 💪✨
