One of the most practical boundaries I’ve learned: sometimes the best response is silence.
Silence can’t be misquoted.
It can’t be screenshotted and passed around.
It can’t be twisted into something you didn’t mean.
Once words leave your mouth (or your phone), you lose control of them.
Silence keeps things simple.
When conversations turn unproductive…
when someone is trying to pull you into drama…
when you feel the urge to defend yourself to someone committed to misunderstanding you…
Silence is often the wisest move.
Not every comment deserves a reply.
Not every accusation deserves a defense.
Not every misunderstanding needs to be corrected.
Sometimes the clearest boundary is simply choosing not to engage.
Silence can never be misconstrued.
