Stars Hollow Returns to Flowery Branch, GA 🌻

Today kicked off the start of our favorite time of year in Flowery Branch. When their Main St turns into Stars Hollow again from our favorite Girlmore Girls.

This was our third year in a row attending (husband had no say in the matter 🤣). This year the dates are 10/22/26 - 10/24/26. It’s a free event and you can expect a lot more shop vendors, the usual Thursday farmer’s market, live music, a petting zoo, licensed Gilmore Girls merch at The Porch, plenty of photo ops, and more than one coffee vendor. Check the city’s event page to see all the different activities happening each day.

We each brought a bag of 5 non-perishable items to donate to the food bank to receive our complimentary shopping bag (while supplies last) but unfortunately they won’t be available this weekend due to a shipping delay. We have to come back next week to pick them up and left our contact info.

Parking is pretty hectic so if you can’t come early enough then there are shuttle options this year. We managed to find a spot in the additional parking area on the grass but it was a tight squeeze.

Our thoughts:
We enjoyed the previous years more. We felt like there was more activities happening besides the scheduled ones and more nods to the show. This year seemed more focused on a shopping market. There were definitely great vendors, but it would’ve been nice to see more activities like the scavenger hunt or character dress ups. So we think this may be the last time we attend this event. We did love that it’s family friendly and still had a good time with our girl.

Drop a comment if you have any questions about the event! Happy to answer the best we can.

Snaps from September 💕

September felt long but also short somehow. It was our first full month with a newborn. And it was a month filled with family, lots of food, and extra caffeine.

Shout outs:
Made with LAV by Pang for a beautiful grazing board
𝓁𝑜𝓃𝑒𝓁𝓎 𝓈𝓌𝑒𝑒𝓉𝓈 🎂 for making the perfect cakes for all our life moments
Atlanta Family, Maternity & Newborn Photographer for capturing our first family photo as three

One more thing checked off my pre-baby bucket list 🀄️

Turns out there’s a lot more to mahjong than the computer version I grew up playing 😂. And the cool thing is we have a dedicated mahjong studio right here in Chamblee where you can learn the game, meet new people, and just play your heart out. We had the opportunity to learn all about the game and Atlanta Mahjong Studio. They just recently moved to a bigger space and we love everything about it.

If you’ve been curious too, Atlanta Mahjong Studio offers classes for beginners right inside Atlanta Chinatown!

Would you try it?

Thank you Krizia and Atlanta Mahjong Studio for letting us interview you!

Newborn trenches are no joke. We mostly live in our pjs, eat, sleep, make milk bottles, and rinse and repeat.

Finally checked out Ginko Cafe in Downtown Duluth. We remember when this used to be Simply Done Donuts before.

We’re glad to see something delicious take its place with their Asian inspired menu. Definitely need to come back for their Che Thai Float.

I always seem to be let down by banana flavored lattes, but I still try ordering them at different spots in hopes k find one I like. Ginko’s Caramel Banana Latte surprised me in a pleasant way!

🌸 A new cafe + floral shop just opened in Dacula!

We found this little spot while soaking in some of our last slow days before baby arrives, and it’s such a cute place to grab a drink and hang out. 🤍

They serve coffee, milk teas and sweets from Lemon Sweets Duluth and you can even shop floral arrangements while you’re there.

What we tried:
🧋 Honeydew milk tea with tapioca — 5/10, tasted like a powder mix
☕ Rose Latte — 5/10, good rose flavor but coffee had more of that sour acidity
☕ Blueberry iced americano - 4/10, when the AI images let you down. This also had a sour acidity taste and not what we hoped.
🍰 Mango crepe cake — 8/10, light sweetness and fluffiness.

The garden out front might’ve been our favorite part. 🌿🌸 We think Dacula definitely benefits from a cute spot like this with a decent amount of seating to get some work done, catch up with friends, or take some cute photos. But we don’t think the drinks are up to par with some other cafes. We wouldn’t mind going back though to enjoy the scenery and maybe try a fruit tea or other drinks.

📍 Sun & Bloom Cafe
164 Dacula Rd,
Dacula, GA 30019

🕚 Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 8:00pm
Saturday - Sunday: 9:00am - 8:00pm

Would you rather come here for the coffee ☕ or flowers 🌸?

One last trip as two. 🤍

We didn’t realize how much we needed this weekend.

No itinerary to rush through.
Just good food, slow mornings, sunsets, and time together before we meet our little girl.

We know life is about to change forever, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Here’s to one last adventure as two… before our greatest one begins. ✨

SAVE this new Buford Highway spot for your next food run. 🍚

Another new spot has joined the Buford Highway food scene. Irritable Claypot recently soft opened in Chamblee, serving Cantonese style claypot rice cooked fresh to order. The crispy rice at the bottom of the claypot is worth the wait and brings one of Southern China’s classic comfort foods to Metro Atlanta. Big thanks to Matthew Chow | ATL Food for putting this place on our radar. Have you checked out Irritable Claypot yet?
