For those who have been inquiring about my Never the Rock Photography Tours, details are all coming together for 2027!! The African Safari is set for December 2027 and features several new destinations not included on previous trips! I’m especially excited to add Tarangire and Karatu to the itinerary this time around.

Tracking Patagonia’s Elusive Pumas
October 10 – 16, 2027

Protected by the Chilean government and facing no natural enemies, the pumas of Patagonia wander their habitat without fear. On this very unique and exclusive safari, you’ll get a rare glimpse into their daily lives—discovering where they hunt, rest, and raise their young. With Professional Photographer Sarina Rowley Roth by your side, you will be led to capture your own stunning photographs, forever securing your memories of this elite experience.

While enjoying the pristine, dramatic backdrop in the wilds of Torres del Paine, we are fully prepped to observe and photograph other Patagonian species including guanacos, rheas, condors, and foxes.

Led by the expertise of a private guide and tracker, each day is planned around real-time puma activity. Following the rhythm of the wild and the spirit of our exclusive guests, we may embrace an early-morning departure or ease into a full-day excursion.

General Itinerary:
• Day 1: Leave US in the evening with your Photography Guide, Sarina Rowley Roth
• Day 2: Arrive and explore Santiago, Chile (One night stay)
• Day 3: Flight from Santiago to Puerto Natales, private transfer to hotel, meet-up with tracker/guide (Overnight in Torres del Paine)
• Day 4: Puma Tracking (Overnight in Torres del Paine)
• Day 5: Puma Tracking (Overnight in Torres del Paine)
• Day 6: Wildlife Scouting and Photography (Overnight in Torres del Paine)
• Day 7: Transfer to Puerto Natales; Flight to Santiago / PM Flight to USA*
• Day 8: Arrive in USA
(*Optional – Flight to USA on Day 8, arriving Day 9)

Prices will be itemized to reflect international and domestic air fares separately. Trip rates include transfers, park fees, accommodations, guides fees, and meals.

On an exciting excursion with Never the Rock Photography Tours, we traveled by boat around Bass Rock on our way to the Isle of May in Scotland. This was once the largest nesting site for the Northern gannets, hosting about 75,000 pairs! Although the numbers are less right now, it was still truly breath-taking to see so many.

One of the really fun things about joining a Never the Rock Photography Tour is the chance to learn a little photography while doing regular things. Most folks have their phones with them during meals, so we use that time to experiment with lighting, manipulate backgrounds, and compare the different lenses that each has available to them. This gives all the guests some fun skills to bring home and use when they go out to eat with family and friends.

Okay everyone, although I'm still editing pictures from my epic Never the Rock Photography Tour in Ireland/Scotland, it's time to nail down the dates and guest lists for my 2027 trips.
