Friends and Family
As most of you know, I suffer from Nonalcoholic steatohepatitis which has landed me on the liver transplant list with Piedmont hospital in Atlanta, GA. After transplant, the cost of aftercare and lifetime medication can be substantial (Upwards of $5k a month). The State of Georgia has a program called the Georgia Transplant fund. This is an account that relies on donations and funds are only released to me for post transplant related costs pre approved by the foundation.
If you go to the link below and type in my name, Nichole Wershil, it will take you to my donation page. Again, this IS NOT a GoFundMe page. I can only access these funds for pre approved post transplant care. Any amount will be greatly appreciated. If you can not donate, I ask that you please share this as much as you can. Clients in our Transplant Fundraising Program raise funds for post-transplant expenses. The cost of immunosuppressive medications typically ranges from $20,600 to $32,900 per year and even with insurance, co-pays can be unaffordable.
