Personal Brand Tip:
Don't Be a Jerk.

Seriously, stop being a jerk. Your negativity is stinking up the internet and causing people to trust YOU (and everyone else online) less.

We've all seen the politicians and big companies that spend the bulk of their marketing dollars trashing their competition. That's a HUGE red flag.

Why are they spending their resources and efforts on smear campaigns instead of talking about their own better qualities, values, features, and products?

Think about it. It's the ugly old "at least I'm not as bad as them!" scare tactic.

If you want your career, company, or brand to last then you don't just want to be known as the better of two evils. You want to be known for your own greatness.

Life update:
I went to three meetings this morning without realizing my zipper was down. I recently started working with a couple of new business owners and I’m really excited about that. I’m close to launching a product that’s gonna be exciting and fun. My glasses are crooked and I just noticed. My eye is swollen and idk why. My sister just went back to college and I’m gonna miss her. I need someone to help me decorate my office. I’m about to eat tacos.

Who cheeses harder: me or my sister?
Wish I had started cherishing family time way sooner. Looking back at 25 years of people coming and going in and out of my life makes me realize how dumb I’ve been for putting just about anybody before my fam. Especially now that I have a better perspective of how awesome my family really is.

I write down goals or habits that I want to work on every month and put them around my house and office where I’ll see them often. Usually, they’re a helpful reminder. Sometimes, they’re a reminder of how hard it is to break a habit. For example... One of the things I had written down for July was: don’t buy coffee.

I will not buy a product or support a brand that runs smear campaigns. I won't vote for politicians who do either. Build something or become someone worth supporting.
