My first official visit to - via Kong. ...My initial starting point was Chau, an island that is rather close to Hong Kong. My first shot was of this plant that was wedged between two boulders - a reality that gave me cause to pause and reflect on my past and present. Am thankful for the of life via roads and paved passages along the way. BTW - Slide 3 is rather interesting as well - look for the impression of a face.

Have learned much about the Philippines through my friends during my stay - especially about their faith. On any given Sundays all the pews are full beyond capacity. But - no worries - as the overflow of souls simply find spaces outside, and tune into external speakers to receive the word. I've attended a few churches - but found The Baclaran church of Perpetual health to be my favorite. During my initial visit I was stunned by the crowd - but grew accustomed. I have also visited the church during the week - as the doors are generally open to the public during the day - thus I was able to photograph the beautiful architectural design.

As a photography - I tend to marry my imagination to images that beckons my attention. The attached pics from various locations throughout the Philippines, a country of over 7000 islands, offered me an opportunity to just chill, and embrace the bountiful beauty of nature.

Prior to most of my international travels, I research places of interest - and ultimately write stories for publication purposes. But - and there's always a butt - my lenses take me in different directions when my imagination dances with my senses. This shot was captured while I was traveling through the southern coast of South Africa - close to the Indian ocean. Ultimately - this impromptu session was all about the stories told and untold through the eyes of - as I learned - this strong-willed and beautiful soul. ...
