We focused on showcasing both the finished look and the installation process, capturing everything from texture and joint profile to underlayment and placement. This Mother's Day, we're thankful for all of the mother figures in our lives and the ways in which they show up for us without fail. In this 1945 image from the Museum's Digital Collections, Private First Class John Kistel's mother builds a wheelchair ramp to their home after Kistel lost his legs serving as an infantry radioman in the European theater.
