The prompt understanding is definitely improving.
The way it uses my personalization settings and mood boards is also improving. This collection represents a few changes in either wording in the prompt, settings changes, or both.

Midjourney's version of Ezekiel's vision on his 30th birthday. Not at all accurate, but still an impressive looking image. The vision itself has some of the strangest angels in the entire bible, so I am not surprised that they would be difficult to create. They are hard to prompt for. :)
This is so much more striking on the web than here. Facebook really does reduce the quality of images we post.

I asked Grok if it was a cat, and what kind of cat it would be. My answer was Maine C**n, so I proceeded to create multiple versions of this as a Grok character using Midjourney V 8.1 I really love the results. I used both the style creator tool and the style reference settings, which are personalization tools that allow you to create your own look for the finished image. The first three are from the same style code, and the rest are all different codes and/or prompts.
